The Silk and Skin party has, unfortunately but probably inevitably, been pushed off Evite. The site has implemented some aggressive screening policies to find adult events and we got caught.

There was no warning, and did not find out until 10 days after we thought this month’s invitation had gone out.

Evite is not a secure or safe platform and we are looking for alternatives. In the short term we have created a new account but will only be able to send you a bare bones evite with basically no content. When you get an invitation for “the monthly gathering at the Den” that is us.

We also sent emails directly to those we have addresses for, and direct SMS messages to as many as we could. I apologize in advance to those who are going to see this message multiple times.

To RSVP, please respond to the bare bones evite; email us at silkands@silkandskin.org and/or text 2026435015. And get your tickets at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/decorate-your-naughty-bits-at-the-den-of-iniquity-tickets-1984254027210?aff=oddtdtcreator&keep_tld=true

I will manually update the evite page as best I can for those who RSVP in a different way but the guest list is not going to be as accurate as it has been.

You will continue to get “bare bones” evites. An invitation to “the monthly gathering at the Den” is from us. If you respond to the “decoy” email address or phone number listed in this month’s it will eventually get to us but hopefully we will not use that going forward.

Every month’s party will always be detailed on this site, at www.silkandskin.com/current.htm. If you get used to looking for it there, that will never steer you wrong.

We are also going to try out Plura, a platform built specifically for “alternative” communities with enhanced privacy controls and no "moral-clause" automated flagging.

Each event will have its own page with content that will look a lot like what you are used to seeing on Evite.

Here is the current one:

https://plra.io/m/decorate-your-bits-at-the-den-of-iniquity?r=juliefetwildthing22151slsentirelyreal2

You can just look at it without an account, but other attendees will not be able to see that you are coming unless you download the Plura app and create an account, which is FREE. They look a lot like a dating profile but you do not have to use it for that purpose unless you want to. You can upload a photo of your cocker spaniel if you like but PLEASE SIGN UP WITH THE NAME WE HAVE FOR YOU IN THE PARTY DATABASE so we know who the fuck you are. For example, the name on my profile reads: “Julie (fet:Wildthing22151, SLS:Entirelyreal).” You will see a lovely photo of me taken in the Galapagos Islands, which happened to be on my phone.

I don’t know if we will ever get enough people to do it, but if you “follow” Silk and Skin on Plura you will get our invitations in a simple, no-fuss way.

And Plura does have “community” advantages. Plura’s "Bud" system allows you to see mutual connections and "match" with other attendees before the event, making our large gathering feel like a trusted neighborhood. Once you RSVP, you'll gain access to a secure, event-specific chat, which we may use to send event details if enough of you opt in. Plura is designed to be radically inclusive to each and everyone's gender identity, sexuality, and kinks - created to be a safe space from the ground up.
